Clean Energy Strategic Planning Series

In 2020 and 2021 a cohort of municipal representatives in the southeastern PA region collaborated on an extensive series of online sessions designed to assist in developing an Energy Transition Plan unique to each community, based on a common template. Through this series of presentations from topic experts and discussions, the following library of materials has been collected.

Where possible, contact information is included so you can follow up with questions about how to apply this knowledge to your community. Some of these contacts are energy professionals and may suggest a formal engagement with your community.

Leadership & Vision

Explore the components of creating an Energy Transition Plan, developing an Energy Profile for your community and identifying the key Stakeholders. Consider different Strategies that others have taken in developing a plan and the impact of working with Partners - within government and with non-government entities. There are resources that we can leverage to structure our discussions, like the Community Energy Strategic Planning Handbook from Energy.gov. This is the place to start your communities journey to achieving your clean energy goals.
